The Collision Repair Process Explained

Understanding the collision repair process helps you know what to expect while your vehicle is in our care. Every step is designed to ensure your vehicle is repaired safely and correctly, in accordance with manufacturer repair procedures.

1. Preliminary Check-In

We begin by documenting your vehicle's condition, reviewing the visible damage, gathering vehicle information, and discussing the repair process with you.

2. Pre-Wash

Your vehicle is thoroughly washed to remove dirt and debris. A clean vehicle allows our technicians to accurately identify all damage and inspect repair areas.

3. Disassembly

Damaged components are carefully removed to expose any hidden damage that may not have been visible during the initial estimate.

4. Damage Assessment (Blueprinting)

A comprehensive inspection is performed to create a complete repair plan. This process identifies all necessary repairs, replacement parts, and required procedures before repairs begin.

5. Insurance Authorization

If your repair involves an insurance claim, we work directly with your insurance company to obtain approval for the complete repair plan. This step may include supplements if additional damage is discovered during disassembly.

6. Parts Procurement

Replacement parts are ordered according to your repair plan and manufacturer recommendations. Depending on your policy and vehicle, this may include OEM, aftermarket, LKQ (recycled), or remanufactured parts.

7. Structural & Body Repair

Our technicians restore your vehicle's structural integrity and repair or replace damaged panels using manufacturer-approved repair methods and specialized equipment.

8. Refinish (Paint)

Repaired areas are prepared, primed, painted, and clear-coated. Advanced color-matching technology is used to achieve a seamless factory-quality finish.

9. Reassembly

Your vehicle is carefully reassembled, ensuring all components fit properly and operate as intended.

10. Calibrations & System Verification

Today's vehicles contain advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), including cameras, radar sensors, and safety technologies. Required calibrations, diagnostic scans, and system tests are completed to ensure these systems function properly after repairs.

11. Detailing

Your vehicle receives a thorough interior and exterior cleaning so it is returned looking its best.

12. Quality Control Inspection

Before delivery, our team performs a comprehensive quality inspection to verify that all repairs meet our standards for safety, craftsmanship, appearance, and proper vehicle operation.

13. Billing & Vehicle Delivery

Final paperwork is completed, insurance documentation is finalized (when applicable), and we review the completed repairs with you before returning your vehicle.

Our Commitment to You

Every repair follows a carefully managed process designed to restore your vehicle to its proper pre-accident condition. Our goal is to provide safe, high-quality repairs while keeping you informed throughout every stage of the repair journey.
